A handmade print of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge as seen from Fort Mason. This is a 5 layer Linocut print made using the reduction printmaking method in which a layer is carved away from the block after each color has been printed. This makes an edition unique because the art cannot be recreated from the original block.
Print measures 10 1/4x12" and is printed on a 12x15 sheet of Rives %100 Cotton Rag paper. Prints are hand carved from a linoleum block, oil based inks are then applied to the surface of the block and rolled through a traditional printing press.
Given the varied nature of reduction printing, prints in this edition vary slightly in tone and color.
