Monarch Butterfly Linocut Print
Butterflies are a symbol of change and transformation, comfort, hope, and positivity. Monarch butterflies have always appealed to me for their beautiful colors, which vary from butterfly to butterfly making each one unique.
Creating this print involved drawing the image and carving two separate linocut blocks, the first block was applied with orange ink and the second block was applied with black ink before making an impression on top of the orange printed paper.
This print measures 7x7" and is printed on 9x9 sheet of Rives cotton Rag paper. It is printed with oil based inks giving the art a nice rich quality.
These prints are made to order, so there may be slight color variations in each one, allow an extra 2-3 days for processing. Each print is handmade and printed at my home tabletop etching press.
Prints come individually packaged in a clear cellophane sleeve with acid free backing. Prints are signed and numbered.
