“Tropical Flamingos" Reduction linocut print
This print of Tropical Flamingos is inspired by a watercolor sketch I did of three flamingos. Flamingos have a unique ability to stay balanced even on one leg and in weird formations, to me this symbolizes balance and harmony in life.
The print is made by a reductive printmaking process where the image is transferred to a linoleum block and carved from a single block. This block was carved with 7 layers of ink applied to the surface.
Art measures 9x10” and is printed on approximately 11x14” Rives 100% Archival Cotton Rag paper.
(Giclee means a near perfect reproduction of the print itself printed with archival inks onto archival recycled cotton rag paper).
This is a varied limited edition print, with only 13 prints in the edition. There are very slight color changes between the prints. Since each print is handprinted individually they will not be 100% true to the product photo. However these prints often look better in person because of the Unique colors and surface texture which can’t be entirely captured with a photograph.
All prints are signed and numbered. Frame is not included.
