Fox in the woods linocut
A sly fox wanders through the woods on a snowy day. This print was inspired by the morning light that filters through birch trees, and the shimmering reflection of light in the snow.
This is an original linocut print, made by carving two separate blocks and applying a color to each one using speedball oil-based (water miscible and non-toxic inks). After the blocks are applied with ink they are rolled through my table top press and the image is imprinted onto a sheet of high quality cotton rag paper.
A single block was carved for the birch trees in the background and printed with a blue gradient. A second block was carved for an energizing pop of orange color for the fox.
All prints are signed and numbered. This is an original linocut and a limited edition print series of 50

Since each print is individually printed by hand their will be slight variations between the prints in inking, texture and saturation, adding to the unique handmade quality of an original linocut.
Prints are shipped in an archival clear plastic sleeve, sandwiched between sturdy cardboard.
